We cover most of the subjects currently taught in English secondary schools. 

You will work alongside expert colleagues in the classroom and teach across the key stages 3, 4 and 5.  Secondary trainees receive 10 full days of additional specialist subject training during the year. 

Trainees have a main placement in one school for the academic year, with a shorter placement at a contrasting school built in during the year. 

Secondary trainees are based in a placement school four days a week and attend training at the Buckingham Partnership based at Royal Latin School on Wednesday each week. 

On successful completion of the course you will be awarded Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and PGCE. The PGCE element of the course is delivered, assessed and awarded by Bath Spa University. The Bath Spa PGCE programme seamlessly blends with your work in school and your training sessions, and you will be well supported by the Bath Spa team throughout your course.
